British Asian Film Academy Ltd (incorporated in Great Britain) is one of the true homes of innovative and talented artists across the globe. After finding a lack of recognition for modern Asian artists on an international level, we decided to promote and celebrate the achievements of hard working and talented modern Asian artists in the entertainment, broadcasting, and newspaper industry at the global level.

International Asian Radio Awards ceremony is one of the most visible activities of the Academy. It acknowledges radio programs from all over the world and rewards radio artists’ endeavour and excellence at international level.

The Academy also honours other individuals with awards in recognition of their contribution to the radio industry. These awards are approved by the Academy's Radio Awards Committee, which is made up of various veterans and high achievers in media and entertainment industry.

British Asian Film Academy awards consider every eligible radio program for nomination across the globe as long as the radio program is based on an Asian theme. The program could be from anywhere in the world and not necessarily from Asia or a product by an Asian. The program must be in English or with English subtitles or translation.

Since the inception of the British Asian Film Academy it has been the intention not only to honour the outstanding achievements of established radio artists but also to support and promote young and talented newcomers, thus building the future of Asian radio industry across the globe.
